motorist injured in East Huntspill accident
These
were the scenes in East Huntspill this evening (Thursday) after
a woman was cut free from a vehicle after crashing into a ditch.
Police,
ambulances and three fire crews were called to New Road, close
to the entrance to Secret World, at 7.38pm.
A
female casualty inside a blue Chevrolet Kalos was suffering from
neck pain.
Crews
removed the roof to extract the casualty, who was placed in the
hands of waiting paramedics and taken to hospital.
Three fire engines from Bridgwater, Burnham-On-Sea and
Glastonbury attended.
An
eyewitness told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the scene there were no
other passengers in the car and no other vehicles involved. The
road remained closed for almost an hour.
