Snow drives up business for Burnham-On-Sea Golf Range

-

Dozens of golfers from across the area swung into Burnham-On-Sea Golf Range during the snowy weather after most local golf courses were closed by the extreme conditions.

Andrew March, one of the PGA Professionals at Burnham Golf Range, which is based at Oak Tree Farm in Edithmead, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Collecting the white golf balls in the snow proved to be the proverbial needle in the haystack, but Burnham Golf Range remained open every day during the wintry weather.”

“With almost all the surrounding courses either closed or severely affected by the snow, local golfers who had been unable to get their golfing fix were able to visit us to keep practising.”

The range is open each day over the holiday, except New Year’s Day, from 10am until 6pm each day (3pm New Year’s Eve) and will then revert back to normal opening hours from next Tuesday (9pm closing midweek). Call 01278 787979 for further details.
