Over £4,000 was raised for the Friends of Burnham-On-Sea
Hospital on Bank Holiday Monday (August 30th) when the group held
its annual summer fete.
The
town's Manor Gardens were full to the brim with throngs of people
for an afternoon of entertainment, stalls and fairground games.
Among
the many Burnham-On-Sea groups taking part and raising money were
the Lions, Rotary Club, WI, BARB, RNLI, Scouts, Moose Lodge and
the Royal British Legion.
League
Of Friends Chairman Tony Dheal told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It's
been a fantastic afternoon - we've seen a huge turnout of people
in the bright sunshine and have raised around £4,000 for
the hospital. Many thanks go to everyone who supported us today."
