Burnham-On-Sea’s fun-loving Mayor swapped his official chains for a inflatable guitar and dark glasses when he attended a local fundraising event at the weekend.
Derick Cooper was a guest at a cabaret night in Draycott to help raise funds for Fairlands Middle School in Cheddar when he unveiled his new surprise new look!
Attending in a non-official capacity, he helped Saturday’s event raise almost £1,000 for the school. Derick and co-organiser Graeme Fincham volunteered to help cabaret signer Clare with one of her numbers.
The evening featured a disco, raffle, two bouts of Irish bingo, a hog roast and a licensed bar.
