Over 50 Burnham-On-Sea churchgoers took part in a traditonal procession – complete with a real donkey – through the town to mark Palm Sunday.

Residents carrying crosses and palms walked from St Andrew’s Church into Victoria Street and along The Esplanade before the start of a special service led by Reverend Graham Witts on Sunday (March 28th), as pictured here.

Young members of the Sunday School dressed in traditonal costumes took part in the parade, which was held to mark the start of Easter. A donkey who is more used to giving rides along Burnham beach led the front of the procession.
