Over 100 businesses across Burnham-On-Sea have supported the launch of the town’s brand new shopping guide, which was formally unveiled by the Chamber of Trade on Thursday evening (September 2nd).

The introduction of the third edition of the updated pocket-sized booklet, pictured here, was marked with a special event attended by Chamber members, local traders and town councillors.

80,000 copies of the free guide – which provides an A-Z list of Burnham’s independent shops – have been printed and soon they will be distributed to homes across the town plus local shops, pubs, holiday parks, libraries and the tourist information centre.

The Chamber of Trade’s Chairman, Rhonda Mills, told Burnham-On-Sea.com at Thursday’s launch: “We are delighted with the support shown by local traders in making this third edition possible.”

“The Chamber of Trade is here to help local businesses and the new guide shows how superb Burnham is to shop. When we all work together, we can collectively benefit each other’s businesses, as well as the town as a whole.”

Dozens of people attended Thursday’s launch, during which Burnham artist Judith Champion, who compiled the artwork for the new guide, presented drawings of each business to those present.

Burnham-On-Sea.com has firmly supported the new guide and an electronic version of the guide will be available online soon.
