Top award for ‘outstanding’ Burnham-On-Sea swimming teacher

-

Andy Holt, Burnham-On-Sea Swim and Sports Academy’s Head Swimming Teacher, has this week been named the best ‘Learn to swim teacher in the South West of England’.

The ASA – the English national governing body for swimming – announced the decision at its annual awards gala.

This sought-after award recognises the outstanding contribution made by Andy in developing children’s swimming skills.

Burnham Swim & Sports Academy bosses Mark and Sara Cox Conklin are delighted that he has received the honour.

“He heads up the Swim Academy, and has built up a team of teachers that deliver modern high quality lessons underpinned by a comprehensive and progressive teaching programme based upon the sound principles of the ASA,” Sara told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

An ASA spokesman said: “The work Andy Holt has being doing at Burnham-On-Sea Swim and Sports Academy to increase and develop the learn to swim programme is outstanding and to be such a leader and motivator to children in the pool, creating exit routes for further activity and supporting and encouraging colleagues, deserves recognition.”
