A Burnham-On-Sea town centre restaurant which opened its doors for business in March has shut down this week.
Truly Scrumptious at 20 College Street has closed after struggling to attract enough customers, the third such business to close at the location in the past three years.
Co-owner Cathy Hurley told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Unfortunately, we have closed this week due to a combination of the business not being financially viable and staff cover issues.”
“We extended our six month lease for an extra couple of months but have decided not to expand it further.”
She added that the firm’s party and delivery business will continue despite the restaurant closure.
The building’s previous occupants, Crowdy’s Bistro and French’s Cafe, both also failed to find the building financially viable over the past three years.
