Over 120 classic cars set to arrive on Burnham-On-Sea seafront

-

Over 120 vintage vehicles will be hitting Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront this evening (Saturday, June 5th).

The 17th Vale of Avalon Vintage Vehicle Road Run will arrive at 6.30pm on the town’s seafront and the vehicles will be in Burnham until approximately 7.45pm.

The organisers hope big crowds will flock to see the rare and vintage cars, and help their chosen charity.

Among those on display will be vintage ice cream vans, police cars and fire engines alongside valuable old cars and motorbikes. Burnham’s Mayor and Mayoress will have the tricky job of judging them.

“We are really looking forward to the event and hope that as many people as possible will be around to look at the cars and help us to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support,” organiser Daphne Stone told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We have over 120 entrants, including some beautiful cars coming from all over the country. It gives people the chance for a good day out, meet some car enthusiasts, show the children and grandchildren how cars used to be and help to raise funds for a charity that works very hard for people whose lives are touched by cancer.”
