More yellow perils for seafront motorists in Burnham-On-Sea!

-

Somerset County Council’s highways team has this week launched a high-profile project to clampdown on motorists who stop to load or unload along parts of Burnham’s seafront.

Hundreds of new yellow vertical stripes have been painted along kerbs on The Esplanade, as pictured.

Elizabeth Kulh, County Council spokeswoman, explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com on Wednesday (January 27th): “The lines are to reinforce parking restrictions that have faded.”

“The lines represent ‘no loading at any time’. This traffic order has been in place for many years and we’re refurbishing the lines with fresh paint.”
