Will Apex Wildlife Park get your vote for ‘nation’s top park’ award?

-

Highbridge’s Apex Widlife Park is in the running to win the title of ‘the nation’s favourite park’.

It is one of 1,290 parks across the UK to have been nominated in The People’s Choice Awards, an annual online competition that gives the public the chance to decide which parks flying the Green Flag Award should be named the site of the year.

Paul Todd, Green Flag Award scheme manager, said: “We know how important having access to quality parks and green spaces is to the public. The People’s Choice Award gives them the chance to decide which park or green space deserves the accolade of the nation’s favourite.”

“With 1,290 award-winning sites to choose from, competition is fierce so we urge everyone to get voting if they want to see their local park pick up the award.”

Voting for the People’s Choice Award winner closes at midday on Monday 12th September, and the winner will be announced on the 21st September.

The competition is run by Keep Britain Tidy, the group behind The Green Flag Award scheme. Apex was recently awarded a Green Flag for a fifth year running, as Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here.
