Arthur, 90, completes his 20th Burnham-On-Sea triathlon

Inspirational 90 year-old Burnham-On-Sea pensioner Arthur
Gilbert completed the town's spring triathlon for a 20th time
on Sunday (April 10th).
Arthur
completed a 250m swim, followed by a 10km bike ride and a 2.5km
run in a time of one hour, 20 minutes and nine seconds.
After completing the incredible feat, Arthur calmly
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It went really well, I enjoyed
every minute of it."
His granddaughter, Natalie, who proudly watched
him, said: "Arthur is a true legend in the family and everyone
is so proud of him for what he does. It's almost unbelievable
for someone who is 90 - he is a true inspiration."
Burnham Swim and Sports Academy's co-owner, Sara Cox-Conklin,
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Arthur is such an inspiration.
He's such a nice guy and always so humble about taking part. To
be completing triathlons at his age - and to be so fit and active
- is just amazing."
After receiving a bottle of wine to the sound
of loud cheers at the awards ceremony outside Burnham Swim and
Sports Academy, Arthur presented the prizes to the winning children
who took part.
