Burnham Police issue CCTV video footage in assault investigation

-

Burnham-On-Sea police have this week issued this CCTV video footage as part of their investigation into an assault in the town.

The footage was taken at the Esso filling station in Love Lane on September 10th, minutes before a man was assaulted in nearby Princess Street.

The casualty, who was carrying a guitar on his back, was attacked in the early hours of the morning.

Police want to identify the man shown in the video wearing a long-sleeved, white shirt and dark trousers.

He is described as white, about 5ft 11ins tall of slim/medium build, aged in his mid-20s, with short, fair hair.

The suspect sustained an injury to his right hand which was bleeding and may ring bells with someone.

Although the incident occurred in September, the CCTV coverage has only been released this week.

Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting case reference 143/11.
