In photos: Official opening for Berrow's new £2.5m health
Jane Barrie OBE, Chairman of NHS Somerset, unveiled a commemorative
stone to mark the official opening of Berrow's brand new £2.5m
health campus on Friday (May 20th).
new centre introduces significantly improved health facilities
to the local community in Berrow - including a new GP branch surgery,
12 GPs and a 12-strong nursing and health care assistant team,
plus a pharmacy, NHS dental services and day services supporting
elderly people with dementia.
Barrie joined practice staff, doctors and the projects architects
at Friday's unveiling of a commemorative stone.
Dr Harvey Sampson, Practice Chairman, at Burnham Medical Centre,
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This opening brings our dream of
the most modern healthcare facilities for Berrow to fruition."

The projects architects and project managers, GVA, have
designed the 14,000 sq ft centre using its rural setting as inspiration.
