In Bloom's leader steps down after 34 years in the role
in Bloom's Chairman and Treasurer has announced this week he is
to give up his high-profile roles this autumn following three
decades with the group.
Perrett, 65, told Burnham-On-Sea.com he is stepping down to give
"the younger generation a chance to get more involved."
He added: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my 34 years with Burnham
In Bloom. There have been ups and downs, but it has mostly been

Dave was recognised with a Civic Award for his work with the
group in 2005, as Burnham-On-Sea.com reported
here at the time.
This week, he thanked other members of the Burnham In Bloom group
for their support - particularly Richard Young, Jo Brown, Joyce
Faulks, Joan White and Sarah White.
Dave will formally step down this autumn after the award results
