£670 raised during Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station car wash

-

More than £670 was raised for the RNLI when crew members at Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station held their annual fundraising car wash on Saturday (29th January).

Over 70 vehicles were carefully soaped using professional car wash chemicals and cleaning materials before being rinsed to achieve a perfect finish.

The event, at the town’s lifeboat station in Pier Street, was held during the RNLI’s annual national fundraising day when events with an SOS theme, such as ‘Sizzle our Sausages’ and ‘See Our Stamina’, are held across the UK.

Trafalgar Automotive Cleaning Chemicals stepped in to supply professional cleaning materials for the event.

A second day of car washing will be held next Saturday (5th February) at the lifeboat station. It will be held from 10am-2pm.
