Highly acclaimed comedy is a hit at Burnham’s Princess Theatre

-

Dozens of people attended a highly-acclaimed comedy show at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre on Friday evening (October 7th).

Almost 80 people watched ‘Countryboy’s Struggle’, the first event to be organised by the new management of The Princess since changed hands earlier this year.

This debut solo show, by writer and performer Maxwell Golden, featured over 40 characters, all delivered by Maxwell (pictured).

Princess Manager Andy Pullen told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were delighted to have such good support from young and old local people for this first event to be organised by the theatre’s new management team.”

“The feedback was really positive and the show was enjoyed by all.”

“We’re now planning a further high-profile event in early 2012 and hope to have more details soon.”

He added that more than a dozen people had also joined up to the Friends of The Princess group on the night.

Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported earlier this year on the transferal of ownership of The Princess from Sedgemoor District Council to Burnham and Highbridge Town Council.
