Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea, Weston and Bridgwater were called to a kitchen fire in Brent Knoll this evening (Friday, December 23rd).
Three fire engines and a water carrier were sent to a property in Burton Row, Brent Knoll at 6.54pm after a resident reported an oven was on fire in their kitchen.
“On arrival, the crews were told the oven fire was out and two firefighters investigated using two breathing apparatus backed up with a hose reel jet,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The damage was confined to the cooker and the cause of the fire was accidental due to a electrical fault.”
