Town council gives £250 grant boost to Burnham-On-Sea arts group

-

A Burnham-On-Sea group which organises art events in the town has received a financial boost from the Town Council this week.

The Highbridge and Burnham Artists group (HABA) runs an annual arts festival in Apex Park and has previously organised the painting of a colourful mural on the walls of Burnham Sailing Club.

It is to receive a £250 grant from the Town Council towards the cost of holding the events.

This year’s HABA arts festival takes place in Apex Park between Friday 15th July and Sunday 18th July from 10-4.30pm each day.

Using the theme ‘Alice in Apex Park’, local artists will be placing many wonderland characters around the lakes for visitors to find.

There will also be a game of croquet, a Mad Hatters Tea Party, a picnic in the park with live music, art and music workshops, exhibitions and mural painting.
