Burnham-On-Sea police seize drugs, cash and weapon in Highbridge raid

-

Police arrested three people and seized hundreds of pounds worth of drugs in Highbridge on Tuesday (October 18th).

Officers from Burnham-On-Sea Police Station responded to information received from the community by executing a drugs warrant in Kings Street where a 30-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to supply cannabis.

During the search, cannabis with an estimated street value of £300 was seized, along with cash and a set of weighing scales.

An air weapon which was also recovered at the property will be destroyed.

Earlier in the day, two 16-year-old youths were stopped in Worston Lane and were found to be in possession of cannabis. Both were also arrested.

PC Adrian Jones told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We listen carefully to the community and act on the information they give us to make Highbridge a safer place.”

“We will continue to target drug dealers, as well as anyone who commits crime in our area.”

“The public can have confidence that their local police are committed to bringing offenders to justice and serving their community.”

At the last quarterly PACT meeting in Highbridge, drug dealing was one of the community’s top priorities – as we reported here.
