karate enthusiast high-kicks his way to the top!
young karate enthusiast from Burnham-On-Sea has high-kicked his
way to a top award.
Josh Proctor from Burnham and Highbridge Karate Club won second
place in a keenly-contested category at a regional Wado competition
in Yate, near Bristol, this week.
"Josh fought brilliantly," a club spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"He listened to his coach and progressed admirably through
the various rounds, but met a really talented fighter in the finals.
Josh did really well and just got beaten to the points."
Josh, who is a 4th Kyu purple belt, achieved second place for
fighting in a category of 8-9 year olds.
He is a member of Burnham and Highbridge Karate Club, which trains
at King Alfred Sports Centre on Sundays and Wednesdays. New members
