Highbridge’s King Alfred School to hold annual open evening

Highbridge’s King Alfred School its to hold its annual Year 6 Open Evening on Thursday 22nd September.

This year, due to the increasing popularity of the event, the school is staggering the start times for different primary schools in the Burnham-On-Sea area.

The evening will consist of a presentation in the school hall followed by the opportunity to look around the school.

The evening will start at 6pm and finish at 8.15pm, with the 6pm slot allocated to parents of St Andrew’s and Brent Knoll pupils (followed by the opportunity to look around the school).

The 6.30pm slot will be for visitors from East Huntspill, West Huntspill, Churchfield and Pawlett schools, when visitors will be welcome to look around before and/or after the presentation.

And the 7pm slot has been set aside for Berrow and St Joseph’s parents, who will be welcome to look around before and/or after the presentation.

Parents who are unable to visit the Open Evening can contact the school directly, who we will be happy to arrange a special visit.

Transfer arrangements for Year 6 to Year 7 are being organised by Deputy Headteacher Paul Tatterton.
