Oops! Manure accident causes delays for motorists near Highbridge

Police were called to the outskirts of Highbridge on Monday afternoon (November 28th) after an accident led to several tonnes of manure being spilt across the busy A38.

Police slowed passing traffic near the entrance to the Oak Tree speedway arena, as pictured, at around 2pm.

It followed an accident in which a farm vehicle lost part of its load of slurry as it travelled along the road.

A local farmer used a tractor to scoop up the mess and enable traffic to return to normal.
