Moose Lodge’s fancy dress party raises cash for Burnham charity

-

Members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose Lodge held their annual New Year fundraising party on Saturday night (January 15th) when hundreds of pounds was raised for a local charity.

Dozens of members attended the event in fancy dress, following the theme of ‘grand hotel’.

The event raises funds for the lodge’s special projects, nominated by the Governor, and this year’s party raised almost £200 towards Eric Gill’s nominated charity, BARB, the charity that runs Burnham’s rescue hovercrafts.

Organiser Terry Cornelius told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a brilliant night’s entertainment from vocalist Steve Holford, and the ladies worked hard in the kitchen providing food for the lavish buffet.”

When Eric is fully recovered after his recent stroke, the accumulated project money will be presented to BARB at a special presentation.
