1980s TV stars Orville and Keith Harris to visit Burnham-On-Sea

TV entertainer Keith Harris is set to bring his puppet Orville the duck to Burnham-On-Sea for a night of adult comedy later this month.

Tickets have just gone on sale for the special event, to be held at Home Farm Holiday Park on the night of Wednesday August 17th.

“This is going to be a fantastic night with Keith’s adult comedy act featuring Orville and Cuddles, who have not visited Burnham before,” the park’s Steve Atkinson told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Tickets, priced £5 each, will be available on the door or in advance by calling 01278 788888 or visiting the holiday’s park’s reception. The event will have a strict over-18s policy due to the content of the show. They will also be performing at the park on November 14th.

Orville appeared on BBC TV from 1982 to 1990 on The Keith Harris Show, which featured assorted puppets such as Orville the Duck and Cuddles the Monkey. Orville’s high point was Keith Harris’ and Orville’s hit single named “Orville’s Song” — “I wish I could fly, right up to the sky, but I can’t…” First charting in December 1982, the single reached number four in the UK Singles Chart the following month, and sold over 400,000 copies.
