Burnham-On-Sea pub re-opens after £150,000 refurbishment

-

A pub in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea re-opened on Friday (October 7th) after a £150,000 refurbishment.

The Railway, located at the junction of Burnham High Street and College Street, opened it doors to the public with a fresh look and new food menu as part of a new concept of franchise pubs first unveiled by Greene King in June.

Andy Price, the pub chain’s Business Development Manager (pictured), told Burnham-On-Sea.com the Railway has a “modern, bright and very comfortable interior but its roots have not been forgotten and it has a pool table, a darts area and multiple TV screens showing live sports events.”

In addition to a new menu and kitchens, the pub’s courtyard features miniature trees and a new outdoor smoking area.

Greene King has a temporary manager in place while it seeks a licensee to take it on.

Mr Price added: “The Railway Inn has undergone a complete transformation and the end result is fantastic. We’re now searching for an experienced and enthusiastic franchise operator who will recognise the pub as an ideal business opportunity; someone with the drive and passion to take on a ready-to-run pub business.”
