Brent Knoll’s Sanders Garden World is inviting parents, grandparents, guardians and teachers from across the Burnham-On-Sea area to nominate a child who they think deserves to be a ‘star’.
The centre is looking for nominations for a child who has VIP qualities and would like to help Father Christmas open his Winter Wonderland.
General Manager Peter Burks explained: “We are officially opening our Winter Wonderland displays to customers on Saturday December 3rd at 12 noon.”
“We’re looking for one child to come to the event as our VIP guest and be treated as a star.”
The winner will be invited to assist with cutting a ceremonial ribbon to declare the garden centre’s Winter Wonderland open and will have a free pass for four people to the Winter Wonderland.
They will also receive four free passes to see Santa in his grotto at a later date.
Peter added: “This year’s Winter Wonderland experience is themed around penguins on holiday and the entry fee for adults and children will be £1.50 per person.”
Santa will be in his grotto from Saturday, December 10th and entry will cost £7 per child. This includes a journey through the Winter Wonderland, a visit to Father Christmas in his grotto, a gift and an ‘I’ve seen Father Christmas’ badge.
Parents, grandparents, guardians and teachers can email or write in to Peter at the garden centre to give details of who they wish to nominate for the title and why.
All emails and letters must include clear contact details of the nominator with their address and telephone number.
By entering the competition, the winner has agreed to take part in publicity. All the entries will be put into a hat and the first one pulled randomly from the hat will be invited to be the star.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The closing date for nominations is Sunday, November 27th at 5pm and the winning child will be notified on Monday November 28th by telephone.
