In photos: Watchfield Show attracts more than 300 entries

Hundreds of flowers, vegetables and craft exhibits went on display at Watchfield's annual flower show near Highbridge this week.

Organiser Mary Chalker (pictured right) told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had proved a success, with entries up on recent years.

"It was a superb day - we had a really good turnout of over 300 entries with the judges praising the children's entries in particular," she said.

Winners included Sara Puddy, Mrs D Wall, Henry Williams, Mary Chalker and Brian Gibbons (pictured below), John Cornish, Mary Puddy, Peter Higman, Brian Newton and Emily Cotton.

"13 year-old John Cornish did especially well and deserves a mention as he won more points than the ladies in the cookery classes," added Mary.
