young girl became stuck in mud on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Friday
afternoon (March 9th), prompting a call-out for the town's emergency
Coastguards, BARB's rescue hovercraft and a fire rescue crew were
called to the South Esplanade at 4.40pm after the family of the
12 year-old reported the youngster in difficulty.
girl's mother, Karen Collins, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
were unaware of the dangers and my daughter went out a bit too
far while playing on the beach."
