New
craft and enterprise centre set to be launched at Berrow pub
A
new enterprise centre which aims to help small businesses flourish
is to open in Berrow this weekend.
The
new 'Craft and Enterprise Centre' will be launched on Sunday 15th
July at the Berrow Inn.
It
will offer local crafters and traders a base from which to manufacture,
display and sell their handmade goods.
Rob
Spriggs, the landlord of The Berrow Inn, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"The centre will open every day from 10am until late. It
is the place to choose a handmade gift for someone special, a
luxury item for yourself or your home or a souvenir of your holiday."
He
added: "As well as many different handmade crafts for sale
there will also be a wide range of produce and local foods. You
can choose from scrumptious cakes, chocolates, ice creams, chutneys
and preserves and many more. It is hoped that the centre will
also host regular farmers markets in the near future."
A
regular programme of demonstrations and work groups will also
be run at the centre by local crafters and businesses. Local charities
and community groups are also being given the chance to raise
funds and awareness with free stalls available. For more information
or to book an event or space at the centre call 01278 782126.
