A new youth theatre group is set to launch in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge (BOSH) Youth Theatre is being run by the Princess Theatre.

A launch day is being held on Tuesday (14th August) from 1-4pm and is open to anyone aged 8-18.

There will be a variety of workshops for young people to try and information about when and how the Youth Theatre will be running.

BOSH Youth Theatre aims to help young people enjoy drama, build confidence and improve their communication skills.

Youth theatre members will be able to take part in a main production, a showcase and a new arts award qualification.

A highly trained and experienced team who are passionate about drama and young people will lead the course.

Princess Youth Co-ordinator Jonathan Smith said: “I am looking forward to BOSH Youth Theatre opening and giving young people the chance of earning an arts award. We hope anyone interested will drop in during the afternoon of August 14th and find out more.”

Enrolment and expressions of interest are being sought with the first year of the course, which is due to begin in October. For details, call 793099 or email here.
