TV actor John Challis visits Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station

-

Actor John Challis took a break from his pantomime work in Weston to visit Burnham-On-Sea’s lifeboat station on Friday (January 6th).

Challis – who used to play Boycie in the BBC’s Only Fools and Horses – was invited to meet the station’s volunteers.

During the visit, gifts were exchanged, books autographed, and John was given a VIP tour of the station and was suitably impressed by what he saw.

John was met on his arrival by Graham Wills, the station chairman, and DLA Rodney Southwell. After the formal introductions, RNLI helmsmen Nick Prout and Stuart Lacey were on hand to talk about the lifeboats.
