Search underway for new Burnham and Highbridge Carnival Queen

The
search is underway to find this year's Highbridge and Burnham-On-Sea
Carnival Queen and Princesses.
Burnham-On-Sea
Lions Club has kicked off the annual hunt for this year's contestants,
who will take a leading role in this autumn's carnival.
The competition is open to girls aged 16 and over for the position
of queen, and to youngsters aged 7-15 for the princesses.
All
contestants must live within six miles of Highbridge or Burnham
and be available on the evening of the Carnival, Monday 12th November.
The Carnival Queen and Princess Selection Evening will be held
on Saturday 21st July starting at 6.45pm with judging at 7.15pm
at Burnham's Princess Theatre And Arts Centre.
There
will also be an interlude with dancing from Highbridge's Lucy
Gunter Dance and Theatre Arts Centre. Admission will be £4
for adults and £2 for under 16s on the door. Tickets
are available from the box office at the Princess.
