local trade by shopping in Burnham this Xmas, residents urged
residents have this week been urged to support local traders by
shopping in the town this Christmas.
Chamber of Trade and Town Team are encouraging shoppers to use
the town's High Street over the festive season.
Ken Smout has given his backing to the campaign, telling Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"I'm very keen to see local people supporting Burnham's town
centre by doing their festive shopping in the town. Our shops
offer a great range of products and need support in these difficult

of independent shops selling a variety of gifts, from clothes,
food and artwork to electrical products, flowers and children's

shops in Burnham will be staying open until 6.30pm after the Christmas
lights switch-on next Saturday, November 24th, as the festive
shopping period gets into full swing.
Christmas lights themselves will be switched on at 4.45pm following
an afternoon of festive music entertainment outside the Somerset
and Dorset pub in Burnham High Street starting at 3pm.
