photos: Flooding keeps Burnham-On-Sea fire crews busy
fire crews had one of their busiest ever days on Wednesday when
they responded to scores of calls for help from flooded residents.

by police, as pictured here, to allow fire crews to pump out flood
fire station officer Ian Hazleton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
had an incredibly busy day with incidents in the morning involving
flooded properties in East Brent and Brent Knoll after the heavy
water was up to eight inches deep in several areas and we helped
by pumping out the flood water where it was possible."
added: "One engine from Burnham was also called away from
the area to Otterhampton to support the crews there tackling flooding."

in a short period. With more wet weather in the forecast for our
area, we could well have a busy week."
