Burnham-On-Sea's
Hillview Carnival Club clinches second at Weston
Burnham-On-Sea's
carnival club clinched second place in its class at Friday night's
Weston Carnival.
Hillview
Carnival Club's entry, called Hollywood Hotel, was given plenty
of support along the route by a big crowd despite wet weather.
The
float - which is 100ft long and cost over £10,000 to build
- came second in its category behind Marina Sydenham's entry,
Clown Town. They were also second at Bridgwater Carnival last
week.
The
team move on to North Petherton Carnival tonight (Saturday) before
the cart comes home to the Highbridge and Burnham Carnival on
Monday, November 12th.
