fire crews rescue horse from Highbridge rhyne

Burnham-On-Sea
fire crews rescued a trapped horse from a rhyne in Highbridge
on Monday (January 23rd).
Crews
from Burnham and Weston were called to Pople's Bow in Highbridge
where the distressed animal was found in a muddy ditch.
The crews managed to pull the horse free from the rhyne using
lines and a Land Rover.
The
animal was not believed to have been hurt by the rescue and was
left in the care of its owner.
