Community
choir's concert is music to the ears of Burnham charity

More
than £500 was raised for Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercraft
charity during a special community concert this week.
Over
150 people attended the Mudlarks Community Choir concert in the
town's Catholic Church on Monday in aid of BARB (Burnham Area
Rescue Boat).
The
evening included a polished programme of upbeat songs that entertained
and absorbed the capacity audience.
"We're
delighted that the evening raised a grand total of £522.70
for BARB - a superb amount for a great local charity," said
Peter Olsen, one of the choir's leaders.
During
the evening, Burnham's Mayor, Cllr Ken Smout, also presented the
choir with a special community award in recognition of the volunteer
work that choir does in the area, as pictured. Jules and Peter
Olsen are shown receiving the award on behalf of the group.
