Highbridge
music marathon raises over £800 for youth project
A
music marathon held at a Highbridge church throughout Saturday
(January 21st) more than £800 for a local youth project.
The 12-hour event in St Johns Church included
music from more than 20 performers, including organ players, choirs
and local bands.
Organiser
Reverend Sharon Crossman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The music
marathon was a great success."
"Within
our 12 and 3/4 hour period we had an enormous variety of acts."
"It
was great to start off the day with a 1/4 peal being rung on our
church bells by neighbouring bell ringers."
She
added: "It was fantastic to bring so many members of the
musical community and their supporters together."
"We
managed to raise £814.70 for the Highbridge and Burnham
Youth Project."
