Olympic
star meets Berrow and Brent Knoll schoolchildren

Pupils
from Berrow and Brent Knoll Schools got a golden opportunity to
meet an Olympic star this week.
Team
GB Olympic weightlifting star Michaela Breeze visited Berrow School
on Monday (October 15th) to meet youngsters from the two schools
and explain how she fulfilled her dream.
Michaela,
33, competed at the Athens and Beijing Olympics and won gold medals
at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and 2006. She retired after
winning silver at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
She
visited Berrow as part of the 'Be The Best You Can Be!' programme,
which aims to ensure the Olympic legacy lives on across the UK.
Michaela spoke to the children about how she achieved her success
and explained how they can achieve their goals.
"The
children from both schools met together at Berrow for Michaelas
inspiring talk. They enjoyed meeting her and asked her lots of
interesting questions. They also liked holding her gold medal,"
said Karen Davidson, headteacher at Brent Knoll.
