'Rock and chips' concert raises over £800 for Burnham charities

Almost
£800 was raised for charities in the Burnham-On-Sea area
during a fundraising concert at the town's Princess Theatre on
Saturday (July 7th).
A
capacity audience attended the 'Rock and Chips' event at the theatre,
organised by Burnham's Moose International Lodge.
The
event featured music from popular band Kyotie, plus table-served
fish and chips supplied by a local chip shop.
"The
enthusiastic audience were not disappointed. Kyotie played to
a capacity audience who sat at tables arranged cabaret style,"
organiser Terry Cornelius told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
An
extra treat was a short set from talented local vocalist Bruce
Hudson, at the end of the refreshments break.
The
result was a profit of almost £800 to be shared between
the BAY Centre Roof Fund and local Moose charities.
Terry
added: "This was an amazing night. The bar was kept busy
for most of the evening, and we have raised a lot of money for
our charities."
