Burnham-On-Sea
groups buy new computer for town's tech clinic
Burnham-On-Sea's
Lions Club and Moose Lodge have jointly funded the purchase of
a new laptop computer at a technology clinic in the town.
The
Burnham Area Youth Centre holds two weekly technology clinics
on Fridays at 11am and 1.30pm and needed the new kit.
BAY
Centre Vice Chairman and ICT co-ordinator Mike Lang said: "Internet
access is essential to modern living, with the ability to go shopping,
learn, teach, and interface with the wide world without leaving
your front doorstep. Our centre also specialises in the use of
laptops, and many of our regular customers bring their own, to
connect to our network."
"The
BAY Centre is a voluntary UK Online centre, and our regular computer
classes introduce members of the public to the internet."
