Olympic torch bearer visits Brent Knoll Brownies

A
Burnham-On-Sea Olympic torch bearer has made a special visit to
a group of local Brownies this week.
Jason
Vickers delighted Brent Knoll Brownies when he showed them his
Olympic Torch and told them all about his exprience of
carrying the torch and how the torch was made.
This visit concluded a term of activities for the Brownies, who
have been working towards the 'On your marks' Girl Guiding badge.
To gain this badge the Brownies have made their own Olympic rings,
had a go at being sports reporters and experienced challenges
like putting up a tent using just one arm or blindfolded to experience
what it might be like to be a Paralympian.
