Fourteen local groups are to receive cash hand-outs from Burnham and Highbridge Town Council.
The council has announced the names of the groups and clubs which it is giving donations to over the coming year.
They include Vale of Avalon Vintage Vehicle Run (£250), Highbridge & Burnham Carnival Committee (£200), Highbridge Festival of Arts (£200), Burnham Dreamscheme (£250), Burnham & Highbridge Gateway Club (£200) and the Friends in Retirement Club (£100).
The other recipients are Arthritis Care (£100), Highbridge in Bloom (£100), Burnham & Highbridge Sea Cadets (£250), Burnham United Football Club (£250), Flutation group (£50), Highbridge Dreamscheme (£250), Sedgemoor Community Partnership (£250), and BAY Centre (£500).
Some of the funding has come from the town council’s own grants budget and money raised during collections at Burnham’s annual seafront fireworks display.
