photos: 300 Volkswagens flock to Brean beach in mass convoy

These
were the scenes on Brean beach on Sunday (September 16th) when
hundreds of Volkswagen camper vans and cars joined in a mass convoy
during the village's three-day Van West festival.
Over
300 VWs joined in a parade through Brean and along the beach to
mark the end of the event, which was based at Warren Farm.
The
festival was held this weekend after being postponed in the Spring
due to wet weather.
Co-oganiser
Adrian Ashby, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com that a record
number of visitors came to the event over the three days.
"We
had 800 camper vans on site during the weekend and over 300 joined
Sunday's parade to the beach. It was well supported and, fortunately,
the weather was much better than May!"
