Burnham-On-Sea Olympic torch bearer opens school's summer fair

Burnham-On-Sea Olympic torch bearer Jason Vickers was the special guest who opened West Huntspill School's annual summer fair at the weekend.

The youngsters got a chance to have their photos taken with the torch and meet Jason.

Organiser Karen Scott, Chairperson of the PTA, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event was a huge success.

"We had a very successful fair - lots turned up to support the school including Jason," she said.

During the afternoon, visitors enjoyed a wide range of activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, raffles and tombolas, stalls, games and refreshments including traditional summer strawberries and cream.
