Further
high winds and heavy rain sweep into Burnham-On-Sea
High
winds sent this canopy into the air outside a Burnham-On-Sea pub
on Thursday (June 14th) as forecasters predict more unseasonal
weather for the next couple of days.
Strong
gusts picked up the canopy at The Railway Inn in the High Street,
as pictured, narrowly missing several pedestrians.
The
Met Office is predicting heavy rain on Friday with a possibility
of thundery downpours and hail. It says the Burnham area will
also be very windy with strong gusts.
The weather is due to remain unsettled and cool over the weekend
with further heavy and blustery showers on Saturday. The winds
will ease on Sunday, but there will still be a risk of showers.
