Two-day art and crafts festival draws crowds to Burnham seafront

-

A two-day art and crafts festival attracted crowds of visitors to Burnham-On-Sea seafront this weekend.

Over 30 exhibitors from across the area displayed their work at the inaugural event, which looks set to become an annual fixture in Burnham’s calendar.

Organiser Ian Jefferies from Burnham’s Tourist Information Centre told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a busy weekend, with a good number of visitors and a great range of traders showing locally-made art and craft products such as artwork, willowcraft and jewellery.”

“Some traders were put off attending by Saturday’s high winds, but we still had a good turnout overall.”

The event was held along the promenade on the south side of the Coastguard and hovercraft station. It was the first in a series of seafront and beach events taking place in Burnham over the summer.
