In photos: Burnham pub quiz night raises over £400 for BARB

Over £400 was raised for the charity that runs Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercrafts during a special quiz night on Tuesday evening (October 8th).

Over 80 people in 22 teams attended the successful event at the Dunstan House in Love Lane, which was organised by Burnham and Berrow Medical Centre and raised a total of £404.

Organisers Tony Deahl and Dr Rachel Mallick, one of the GPs, said: "Burnham and Berrow Medical Centre is incredibly grateful to BARB for their support in taking doctors and nurses through the snow in their 4x4 vehicles over the past few winters and, consequently, we arranged this quiz evening as a thank you. We are delighted to have raised such a super amount."

BARB thanked the centre for their support, adding that the funds would go towards the high cost of maintaining the charity's equipment. The quiz was won by the team 'Life Without Tony' and the booby prize was won by 'The Frilly Knickers'.
