Highbridge In Bloom gardens competition gets underway

-

Organisers of Highbridge’s entry into the nationwide Britain In Bloom competition have this week appealed for residents to get involved in the 2013 contest.

Highbridge has won Silver Gilt Medals in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and is bidding for more glory this year.

The Highbridge in Bloom group is once again holding a Best Front Gardens Competition to encourage residents to put in as much effort as possible.

“Anyone can enter – whether you have a large or small garden,” organiser Pam Lyes told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We are once again inviting residents, shopkeepers and businesses in the town to enter the competition.”

The categories include private / commercial categories for best group of houses, hanging baskets and containers, and best front gardens (small and large).

All entries must be visible from the front or side of the property and judging will take place in early August. Trophies and certificates will be presented to the winners at a presentation evening later in the year.

Entries must be submitted by the deadline of 20th July. Entry forms are available by contacting Bill Fisher at 15 Clover Way, Highbridge or by calling 01278 784629.

Burnham-On-Sea residents can enter the similar Burnham In Bloom competition, which we recently featured here.
